Six Sentence Sunday 12/30

Welcome and thank you so much for stopping by!  I hope you've all had a wonderful holiday season, and I wish you all the best in the coming New Year.

For my final Six Sentence Sunday this year, I'm posting six more sentences from my hot holiday novella, A Flowerpot Christmas Tree.  In this scene, Lillian considers the flirtation going on between her and her hot new neighbor, Noah.

Maybe it hadn't been just the wine talking. Was it really so impossible to think that he might actually be interested in me?

Yes, it was. The kid was all kinds of off-limits. He was 27, a former student, and he lived right downstairs. That's three strikes...

Six Sentence Sunday 12/23

I am so excited that A Flowerpot Christmas Tree has been released just in time for Christmas!  To celebrate, I'm sharing six more sentences.  :)

In this scene, artist Noah Ames offers to help Dr. Lillian Chase (a forensic facial reconstructionist) with her sculpting technique, and things heat up pretty quickly...

"There," he whispered, "see how it responds to your touch." His mouth grazed my ear when he said it, and my pulse kicked into overdrive.

For a moment, I wasn't sure if he was talking about the clay or the noticeable bulge pressing against my backside.

"Mmm-hmm," was all I could get out. I could tell that he was getting hard. I should have been offended, but honestly, I was turned on..."

Here's the blurb:

This Christmas, she'll get exactly what she needs...

40-something anthropology professor Lillian Chase knows how to be alone, even if the sights and sounds of the season make her a little lonely. When she's not teaching classes, Lillian helps law enforcement solve missing persons cases through facial reconstruction. But the anthropology department finds this kind of subjective application a little too soft, and Lillian's not sure she'll be approved for tenure. Worse, though, she worries that she won't be able to identify the skull of her most recent "Jane Doe" in time to give the missing woman's family closure for the holidays.

But when a twenty-seven-year-old artist and former student moves in downstairs, Lillian finds herself feeling more than just neighborly. Noah Ames is all kinds of off-limits: he's too young, he's a former student, and he lives right downstairs. Even with three strikes against him, his fiery appeal is undeniable. He pushes Lillian's boundariessexual and otherwisein ways she's not sure she's comfortable with. But that just may be exactly what Lillian needs...

Six Sunday 12/16

This week I'm offering up six more sentences from my holiday-themed novella, A Flowerpot Christmas Tree, releasing from Etopia Press this Friday, December 21st!

The following is the opening scene:

I never finished filling out my online dating profile. Things were going fine until I got to the blank that asked for my age. With much deliberation, I typed the numbers "4" and then "2" with my index fingers. The number 42 stared out from the screen, mocking me. Too old to be dating, too young to spend the rest of my life alone.  I hit the backspace key at least a dozen times to make it go away...

Six Sentence Sunday 12/9

This Sunday, I have another little snippet from my hot holiday novella, A Flowerpot Christmas Tree.  Etopia Press is releasing a series of holiday-themed erotic romances, and I am thrilled that mine is included.  Check back soon for the buy links!

In the following scene, Dr. Lillian Chase has just arrived at her much younger neighbor's art gallery for what she thought was a public showing...but turned out to be a private event just for two.

From behind the receptionist's desk, he produced two glasses of champagne.

I'd been expecting an impersonal party, but this definitely felt like a date. With a wink, Noah tinked his glass against mine before tipping it up. A single droplet escaped the corner of his lips and slid down his long neck while he drained the glass. I'd be lying if I said I didn't think about leaning in and lapping it up. Noah caught it with the thumb of his other hand just before it ran behind the open collar of his shirt...

Six Sentence Sunday 12/2

This week's six sentences come from my upcoming contemporary erotic romance, A Flowerpot Christmas Tree.  In the spirit of the season, Etopia Press is releasing a series of hot and steamy holiday-themed novellas.  Check them out this December at your favorite online bookstore!

The following scene involves an encounter between Professor Lillian Chase and the artist and former student who just moved in downstairs.

"See something you like, Professor?"

I let go of my wineglass when I jumped, sending it shattering against the polished wood floor. In an instant, Noah was standing in front of me. He slipped a finger inside the waistband of my pants and pulled me to him, pelvis first. The sudden shift in my center of gravity threw me off balance, and I clutched his arm to keep myself from falling. Noah's hot breath was on my neck, and I felt a second finger slip inside my waistband, then a third...
